Classes are held once a month on Saturdays, partners strongly encouraged.

Birth Plan Workshop:

What to REALLY expect when labor starts and how to know what to do.
Understand how hospitals REALLY work (hospital pain management options, cascade of interventions, local hospital protocol)
Learn how to advocate for the birth you want (how to pick the right provider, the right hospital and how to communicate effectively)
Understand ALL your medication options, not just the ones the hospital will offer, and how to maximize each option.
Learn all of your options for baby's first medications
Practice alternative pain management techniques
Learn critical breathing & emotional support techniques
Practice hands on comfort measures, taught by a real doula.
Free printed or digital information binder including pregnancy exercises, hot topic evidence based data, packing lists and exclusive access to digital content (local provider referrals, best baby items, etc.)
Digital Birth Plan Template provided
Free review of your birth plan by a local, Certified Perinatal Doula.

Your first feed (positioning, latch, colostrum transfer, etc)
Day 1 through 4: (feeding schedules, troubleshooting, necessary items)
Day 5 through 10: (milk arrival, volume transfer, positioning, etc)
Tools: (pumps, bottles, nipple recovery, etc)
Safety: (breast infections, milk storage & handling, etc)
SOS: how to find quick help (CLC's, resources, etc)
Class time: 1 hour
Class location: Newport, Rhode Island

During Birth

Continuous onsite or virtual care
Holistic Pain Management (acupressure, hydrotherapy, fascia release, spinning babies techniques, pelvic counter pressure and opening positions, inversion, back labor relief, structured movement routines, etc.)
Relaxation & Energy Management (calming massage, music, guided mantra/visualization/meditation, physical/mental/emotional energy reserve management, etc. )
Comfort Support (hydration, linen changes, restroom and shower assistance, temperature relief (warm/cool compress, etc.)
Communication Assistance (facilitation of kind, effective verbal exchanges with primary care physicians, midwives, nurses and other hospital staff or birth partners)
Information Resources (unbiased, evidence based information and options provided for in-the-moment decision making)

After Birth

Continued presence once baby arrives for up to 2 hours

Post partum Doula (Currently UNavailable)

Support for infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother-baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic newborn care. Ask about our additional services including family adjustment support, healthy meal planning/preparation, errands, household care and sibling support.

Newborn feeding Support (Certified Lacation counselor)

Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding? Formula feeding? Blended feeding? We do it all, without judgement. Our Certified Lactation Counselors offer nursing level newborn feeding support, with the latest up-to-date info and tips. Experienced breastfeeding support focusing on safe latching, positioning, nutrition education and bonding. Video calls available. Covered by several insurance carriers with doula support. Don't need a doula? A la carte support is also available.

Birthing Pool Rentals

Birthing pool rentals available.

Includes sterile liner, hoses, pumps, thermometer, etc. FCFS.
